Well, my God has visited me
O, my God has visited me
This world is made of love
This world is made of love
My God has visited me
And told me it’s all made of love
By His grace it shall all unfold
By His grace it all unfolds
Because my God has visited me
And shown me the 10,000 beautiful
and 10,000 awful visions
because one hundred million billion
lives have been bundled up in
one karmic offering garlanded
with roses and
because I presented this one
and all its tarnished virginity
to my Lord on a moonlit night -
I waded into the lake
and came out of the shadows of the forest
and like Moses lifted a snake
I lifted my spine straight
and said come into me, Father
Mother, Light
come into me for my life is yours
And cuz I left all my other
desires back at the campsite.
Even the desire that a child should
live
when Thy will has called him back
to the Cosmic Bosom
And I heard the the puppet mother cry
And the puppet mother cried
And I was so sure there had
been a death on a
moonlit night -
but I had already buried
the bird,
debts paid with life.
I returned to the campsite
carrying the sorrow of every
mother
“Is the kid alright?”
Yes, and we reemerged with light
And the cosmic mother
Spun fire all the while
