I walk downstairs in the morning X00022
I hear the wind outside the door
I see spots of light in the corner
X20020 of my eyes
Don't ask me why 00300 > 00400
I plant my feet in the wet grass
I gaze at the columns of sky
I ask for my mother's forgiveness /
And eternal life
I sit on my blanket and face the east
The rising sun soft on my skin
I shut out the gates of my senses
And calcify
This body-lie
After a while my vision adjusts to the dark
Little sparks of starlight start to appear
Is that Jesus or a dove descending?
I can't decide
Cause I'm out of line
To try and describe
What's deep inside
You'll just have to try
Shut up your mind
Or just take my word
That's fine
After Hours
After hours, when everyone's gone to sleep
I'm wide awake thinkin, what it means
that I can't hold on to nothing but
somehow letting go means I have everything
And I know what you're thinkin,
it doesn't mean a thing
to even bother when I know that there's no way
for me to know the less I know the more that I feel everything
So if you have any ideas at all
I won't believe it, I won't believe it, I won't believe it, where is your love?
It's right here
In this empty space between us
when I close my eyes
I think I can feel it
So close yours too
shut out the world for just a moment
Here and now it's only me and you
Dreaming
No matter what I do there's a lil piece of me
That's always dreaming of you
If I'm awake in my body or soul or mind
I know it's all just see through
The mountain of consciousness
rises out of the mist
shadowing all I once knew
No longer a mystery life is a sacred dream
I know you'll wake me up soon
And no, I'm not a mystic
But my dreams are coming true
in the ocean of existence
I am a part of you
No matter what I say there's a lil hint of my voice that is calling your name
I learned it from songbirds who patiently hypnotize every idea that's been claimed
The source of the universe doesn't claim ownership only a poet's so vain
So giving it all up I ask for the mother to bless me and take me away
And no, I'm not a mystic
But my dreams are coming true
in the ocean of existence
